i need to get mine replaced. i called the dealer and they said they show 2 differant part #'s for the lancer and the evo. my question is will either work? after maket company says yes but just wanted to make sure.

The Evo windshield is lighter weight than the standard model Lancer. A search on this site reveals many price variations. Trust your glass company on this one.

 

Hmmm... what they use to make it lighter? or is that something a tech made up?

 

all i know is the stock one cracks way to easy.... im going to get the lancer one and hope for the best

 

the only difference between the 2 windshields are the mirror brackets... the weight is the same so don't believe the BS....

 

would figure the only difference would be whether it had the tint at the top or not.
I saw a brand new 05 without the top part of the windshield tinted.
I just had mine repalaced and have one that is factory tinted at the top.

 

were talkin minor weight in any @ all. go w/ the base lancer's due 2 the extra strengh. cracks suck a**!
