real thin plastic backing.

I mean, comeon, least give us an option to upgrade it to kevlar or CF backing?

Yea mine did the same. I have an 05 EB evo. I took it to the dealer and they put a brand new seat in. My parents think that my friends did it cuz they were jealous so my friends cant ride with me in my evo nemore.

Seats are covered under warranty, You will get a new seat for sure. I had 30k on my 03 no cracking but I noticed that the cloth was fading to white (from black) on the sides. Pissed me off. I went and traded it in because I wanted an 05 anyways so I got the 05 with the SSL package. Im just waiting to see how the leather holds up.

if a small amount of pressure can crack the seat, what would happen when you get rear-ended in an accident. didn't they do any rear-end collision test on these seats. I know honda seats are design to semi brake off in a rear-end collision to help absorb the impact. are these recaro design the same way.
