Finally! Let the Happiness Begin!

Finally, at long last my Evo has been delivered back from its long slumber to once again prowl the streets.
It has been more than a year it had been sitting, prior to me rescueing it.
And now after buying the car and having it shipped here from CA to be cared for and nursed back to health it is once again alive.
She had some not-too-serious front end damage, although even a light hit in the front damages a ton of stuff, and we all know how proud Mitsu is of their parts...

After the last two weeks of really stressfull nail biting, you know how it is when someone tells you it'll be ready one day, then its not...and that happens for like two weeks...

But finally today, I helped put the finishing touches on her, gave her a bath then drove her home from the body shop at 8pm or so. Already put another 150 miles on it, now up to a whopping 6160 miles! Tomorrow will be the day for checking everything out, and hopefully getting my headlight fixed at the dealer.

Anyway too late to take pics, but I'll get some completed pics in the morning. Of course, we all know what they look like mostly stock anyway...

Glad to hear its back, I had a similar incident last summer (<5mph) and it cost me the car for a month. The worst part was how it was right around the block but took seemingly forever to get done. Makes you appreciate the car even more getting it back after a wait.

I'm a new member, and joined as I was looking to buy an evo. Found this one, and figured it wasn't bad enough to worry about having a fixed accident car.

I bought it and couldn't drive it. That's been the worst! I've been driving some today and, almost have burnt up the first tank of gas. Got a 1/4 tank left and have 240 miles on it.

I'll tell ya, this thing needs some gauges! Crappy Mitsu no darn instrumentation.

he he, ya...no...
The stock clutch feels good, smooth, unlike my Dodge's McLeod.
It rained here a bit, and it's nice being able to get traction on a wet road launch.
definitely a fun car!

The best and only cure is to go out and enjoy your Evo over many many miles of driving.
