I think a range of $400-800 would be about right, but in depends entirely on the shop. If u have the experience, then go for the self-install to save yourself some cash. It's gonna take u probably over 10 hours if u have a lift available, and probably longer if u dont have a lift. It's a pretty involved install, something which i would never do, but if u have the experience, the tools, and the time, then it would definitely be worthwhile. Good luck with the clutch!

Im in the military so we have access to the auto hobby shop. We get lifts for 4 bux an hour. Doing a clutch job or any other job where you have to take alot of crap off your car can be intimidating, but I think that if you have the want to learn and have good instructions you will be able to do it yourself. The evo tranny is pretty big so if you are going to do it on jack stands its going to be a huge pita. If you have the facilities available then do it yourself it will save you alot of money and in the end you will know how to do an evo clutch. Could make you some money on the side someday. theres my 2 cents haha

vrrm....pass,
There is a big group of EVO's in Pensacola who have done all their own clutches, know the car inside and out and will do the install for you for cheap compared to a shop. If you want more info just let me know and I will get them to contact you.

I installed my cams in the EVO, and I have changed the clutch in my 97 GS-t Eclipse a few times.......I was just kind of wondering if it would be tough considering the AWD.....

yeah there is a few more steps because of it being awd. The xfer case is in the way etc. And the tranny over all is just heavy. FWD trannys are a breeze My TSi is FWD. If you have done the clutch in your gs-t then it will be a little easier for you in the evo. Id still hate to do it on jackstands. It can be done though.
