Lowest price paid for an 05 with SSL (no trade-in)?

Before you reply, I'm only interested in responses from those who did not trade in a vehicle for their 05 w/SSL. I've done a bit of searching and I've seen some posts claiming that way below invoice ($32,000) was paid. Of course, if they screw you on your trade-in they could go below invoice and still come out ahead. So, to those who bought this particular car with SSL from scratch without trading anything in, what did you pay before taxes, license, etc. Just a dollar amount will be fine. Thank you in advance .

They can also screw you on the finanacing.

For it to be a truly great deal, you should be looking at responses from people with no trade-in and with pre-arranged financing (or finacing through the dealer at a very competitive rate).

Yep. I should have thought of that. So, I'd like price before taxes, etc. and whether you paid cash or if financed, your interest rate.

Okay. So if this represents after taxes, etc. then you must have paid about $29,600 for the car. Not too shabby.

Well, South Coast Mitsubishi in Costa Mesa would sell me one at $300 over invoice. They've got a ton of them. Plus, they'd give me $1000 more for my eclipse than it's stated trade-in value. I could get 6.9% for 6 years and my payment would be in the mid 600's. I'd put 3K down, though. I could live with that (maybe). I'm just wondering whether they will get more desperate when the IX's started rolling in. And the Evo's ride is harsh enough that I'd want as many ammenities as I could get (SSL).

So that's about the same. Invoice + destination is about $32,200. I guess I can't hope for much better than that.

So that means they sold you the car (SSL) for under 30K. Was your interest rate really high? Did they jack you on your trade?

'05 White SSL, 10K down, 3 miles

31,600 + Tax/fees = ~34.5k OTD . Tax= 8.65%

Financing = 4.75% for 5 years
