synchronizer??
Last night on the way home i kicked it in first gear and hit second and it grinded so i let out and tried to put it back in agian and come to find out my 2nd gear wouldnt go in at all....so i pulled over and got on the phone for a second and i tried to take off and it wouldnt go in 1st or 2nd now.....so i drove to my friends house taking off from 3rd and made it....on the way out of his house i put it in reverse and rolled a bit and tried to put it in any gear but it wouldnt! I finally messed around with the gears and got it into first...i started on and tried to shift into 3rd from 1st, and it wouldnt go into any gear after that. I messed around with the gears agian till i got it into 3rd and i drove in 3rd all the way home, now i have to take my car to Mitsu tuesday...i think its the synchronizer, any opinions? Thanks -Zach

You actually have a synchronizer on every gear, so I doubt they all went bad at the same time. Always start with the easiest solution and work from there. Check your fluids first, if that is good I would think it's the clutch/pilot bearing/throwout bearing over your synchros.

my first thought is that you are out of transmission fluid or really low. I don't think synchros will prevent you from going into a gear, they are used to match speeds when changing gears.
This sounds like a clutch problem not the synchros. Check the fluid in the master cylinder and bleed it if necessary. Check for leaks in the either the master cylinder (for the clutch), the slave cylinder or the lines. Make sure the upper part of the clutch hydraulic line is not damaged or leaking or swelling under presure. Any leakage must be fixed first or you are wasting your time. Check that your free play is not excessive and that clutch disengagement starts at less than .5 inch from the top of the pedal travel. If all of these things check out okay you probably need a new clutch disc and throw out bearing.
