At the time I could not afford a new clutch and figured I shouldn't be tempting fate by launching. I see that with similar mods on 99 octane Warrtalon trapped 109.19. My tune at the time was A/F ratios at ~11.0:1 and boost at 19.5 psi.

Oh, and btw, I _was_ launching hard and was rewarded with a bad clutch, so I think you did the right thing by not "tempting fate."
On the bright side, I'll have a _real_ clutch (ACT) in there in a few days, so I'll be able to really drive the car now.

With similar mods, the 05 is now much faster. Some of the dyno plots from Al on a MR with just a flash and MBC are awesome, I think there were some around 295whp with just a flash/mbc.
The 05 has a smoother shifter, for sure. But its not as tight or mechanical as the 03. I think its a wash, but its true the 05 is easier to shift for someone who isn't familiar with the car.
ACD works, its changes the character of the car. I find myself clicking it to tarmac for tight corners and clicking back to gravel or snow for long high-speed sweepers. You don't want oversteer in a 90mph sweeper.
But, does anyone know if the spring rates have changed? My 05 is softer than my wifes 03 for sure. Thats my only complaint vs the 03.

Asking about a "2.3 stocker" when you have a 2-week old 05 Evo and no discernable education is mind-boggling.

It is _not_ paper racing, because I personally ran 13.1@104 on my _first_ try EVER with my MR, and that was with a bad 60'. You don't see anyone here running that with a stock 03 or 04. Better drivers have gotten 12.9s and 13.0s @ 105, which again is quite a difference from the 03/04 times you see, where the best are usually a 13.3 with only 102mph or so. This shows that the 05s definitely are faster...
