HELP: Quick!
Ok, my buddy called me from the track, he has weapon r intake, TBE, dynoflash and mbc on 03 evo. he was running his car and he said that now when he goes into boost it starts to stumble. im thinking the plugs are fouled or detonated. they covered the valve cover in ice before the runs and got water in the groove in the valve cover where the plugs sit but i don' think water could get down in there past the coils and that seal bu they think the water fouled the plugs. give me your quickest idea of what could be going on.
Water is probably messing with the spark. When you get the plug wires fouled up with water or grease it causes them to cross fire. Is the car throwing any codes?
He may get lucky and not fry one of the coil packs. I would dry everything off and see what happens.

he said they soaked up the water and everything, i dunno if he threw any codes, he is being ignorant and he wants to drive the car home from the track a half hour away, he'll be lucky to not **** **** up. i have no idea why they put ice on the valve cover, it should go on the intake manifold if your gonna do it, i just hope he doesn't mess his car up by driving it home like that

yeah i told him to pull the ****ers out and check them at the track but he doesn't want to because he doesn't have tools and he's to afraid to ask someone to borrow some, hopefully he has sense enough to not boost it or drive it hard on the way home. thanks for the input guys, if you think of anything else it could be right now let me know, if not, a mod can delete this as he should be home soon anyway. thanks again.
Most likely he got water in some electrical connection. I'd let it dry out as long as he can before he has to leave the track. Leave the hood open. Pull the spark plug cover if possible, its just takes a screwdriver.
