Idle very low. Help please!!!

My car idle very low, at about 500 rpm. The engine is real close to turn off. I bought the car used about 3 weeks ago, I thought it was a temporary problem but it's not.
I don't know if the previous installed cams or not. Is there an easy way to check?
Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

A temporary "fix" is to adjust the set screw for the idle. It's located on the top side of the throttle body near the firewall. Turn it counter-clockwise with a stubby phillips screwdriver to raise the idle. There may be an underlying issue or it may simply be out of adjustment.

you dont need a pic, its a screw thats in the throttle body, where the cable is. there is only one that is loose so you can adj the idle.. poke around this is how you learn about your car..

throwing parts at the car when its undiagnosed is a bad idea. waste of money. figure out what is wrong, fix it, get the car tuned.

IMO

go to dynocomp and have it dynoed. ask for Rich. you can get your afr monitered as well. they're in scottsdale
