Evolution 8 US commerciall....

Have you guys seen the new Evolution 8 US commercial.... A friend of mine told me its already out and it really sucks, shows the car as a "chill" clubbing car and doesn't really show it as a sport car.... What you guys think???

i dont see a reason for them to spend the extra buks for evo advertisment cuz the car itself is already the best

Well, I can tell you, Mitsubishi print ads S U C K...Anyone ever seen the Eclipse ad where they have this long line with dots at various points, and then copy at each dot? Does anyone even read all that? I'm guessing no, because it isn't even interesting copy, and the line is hard to follow. Who the hell knows if it's the agency's fault (Deutsch, LA) or the company's fault.

Considering the blunder all the marketing guys at made with an enthusiast car, my guess is the fault lies at the feet of the client.

One HUGE complaint, though. The art direction on the Evo website is horrible. Whoever the art director(s) was(were) on that eye sore should go back to school. What crap. You want to see something well designed and cool, go to BMW's website. That was done by a place called Duffy Design in Minneapolis.

It's not worth it for them to advertise right now since they are pretty much all spoken for for the first two or three allocations. We'll probably see a commercial by late spring/early summer.

It would be a big mistake to start advertising when they cannot meet the demand already. It is going to be difficult to get an EVO for a while. I agree they will wait until the true enthusiasts all have them, then they will go make some gay commercial with some horribly bad house music with a crippled midget breakdancing on the hood or something.

I saw a paper add like that eclipse one except for the Lancer...It was equally as gay....

Oh man. I'm so ashamed of our commercials. ::shakes his head::

Anyway, if I were MMNA I wouldn't spend a cent on advertising, because word of mouth has already presold so many. Why spend millions when you can do fine without it? The car will sell itself with far less overhead for Mitsubishi. At least that's my thinking.

You said it. They didn't even give us a real brochure. Talk about cheap. Newspaper does not do justice

It's ok, I don't really mind about no advertising on my car. I just want most of my $ in my car instead of somewhere else. But they seem not to do that either? Oh well, don't mind me after all this time i'm still bitter about not giving us the front LSD. This was inexcusable!
