Undertray Question

my engine bay never gets dirty w/o cover.
not like my honda 02 civic where there was no under cover right from the factory.this engin bay gets dirty so quick.
i wonder why it wont do this to my evo.

I took mine off, such a pain while installing parts, and whenever you drop something it takes half an hour to knock it to the back of the tray in order to get it out.

None of my Hondas have them, and I've never had an issue with crap messing with my belts.

leave it on, but if you remove it make sure that your fendor wheels are still attached to something so they do not rub against the tire

I saw the Mitsubishi training video on the Evo, it says the undertray is for brake cooling purposes as well as aerodynamic purposes. I even found a drawing of air flow being redirected from the undertray to show it's purpose.


The video is on socalevo.net and the picture was somewhere on this website.

EDIT: now that I think of it, it might not have been on that video, and might have been on this website...try a search.

the video is still cool though. check it out.
