no undertray, will it hydrolock?

my undertray cracked and it drags while i drive so i removed it, is there any chance water may get sucked into the engine? im just a lil paranoid driving around with it off so i just want to know if anyone ever came across that problem before?

You'll be fine.

I ripped off my whole undertray when I did the downpipe and never put it back on. Zero problems nor have I ever heard of a problem.

^ +1 no undertray here either for over a year. If it was going to hydrolock it would have done it where I live too. To say we get lots of rain is an understatement.

If you want to be safe, you can grab CorrosionX HD from True Value and spray your under body. Other then that, I haven't had a problem, yet. First winter with the Evo.

I haven't ever had my undertray on

my intake filter (open cone) remains just as clean and dry on the top as it does on the bottom

It will be fine, many guys take them off after they do their first oil change! It just gets annoying!

Ask KevinD if he still has mine at his shop. He owns EvolutionDynamics. Though it might be in the trash by now.
