I think it means it's burning cleaner without leaving too much gunk in the engine.

Which in long term, better lasting, better performing engine.

But then again, you have no idea who owns that website.

Sunoco is who you want to use on the east coast.

I run sunoco 93 and every couple of tanks I run a tank of 94....although with gas prices the way they are, I think I'm just going to keep running the 94, my car seems to run a ton better on 94 the way that it's tuned (21 psi).

Yeah I also only use Sunoco 94. Prices are outrageous right now, but I can't find any other station that carries a 94 around the Pittsburgh area. We have Sunoco, BP, Shell, Sheetz, Get-go, Texaco, Citco, Chevron some places, Amoco some places, 76 some places, etc.

i run mobil 93 and havent had any problems with it for 3 yrs now (had to use 93 in my jeep). i have put a tank of sonoco 94 from new jersey in my evo as a treat once and i honestly didnt feel a difference with the good old butt dyno.
i dont want to hijack the thread, but has anyone ever dynoed their evo on 93 octane and then another time on 94? id be interested to see if the 1 octane difference was noticeable.

In all honesty, I've heard that 93 is actually a lot weaker than 94. I think either Buschur or Al or someone said it makes a big difference in knock resistance. More than one would think. Plus I think vishnu has a certain map strictly for 94 so that says there is definately a difference worth mapping for. 94 is not too common so that would be why tuners usually wouldn't tune for strictly 94. As far as power goes, you're probably not going to feel a difference from say 91 to 94 unless you turn up the boost.

Im not 100%, but I believe QuikTrip owns the top tier site. I have used QT gas quite often with good results. My car definately lets me know when I get a tank of low quality gas. I use either QT or Chevron. A litte FYI, Most major car manufacturers exclusivley truck in Chevron gas. If they bother to exclusively use chevron, there must be somthing good going on with their fuel.

I use the cheapest gas i can find. I can't justify the 10-20 cent market up the "good" gas stations have. Besides I have never heard of anyone saying "damn my engine died because it got to dirty" I can understand injectors getting clogged but that can happen on "good" gas as well

I agree that name brand doesn't always = good gas. I have seen crap in tanks from major suppliers f*ck up injectors, fuel pump filters and fuel filters. All depends on the stations tanks as well. I look for stations that are newere so I know they have tanks that are also new.

Get Sunoco 94 and screw that list lol. Seriously you don't have Shell, Chevron, or 76 in New York?
