Ahh, another perfect example of how a shop owner/ worker thinks he knows what the customer wants better than what the customer stated in plain damn English himself!

Make them redo it, and don't let them push you around about it. they also should sand all that paint off that area they painted, cause now the black/ grey whatever will probably not adhere well.

Good luck bro, and let us know how it turns out.

ALWAYS GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING BEFORE YOU HAVE ANYONE DO ANY WORK ON ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would have taken considerable more effort to mask that area as opposed to painting the whole thing. They took the easy way out.

Be civil. Explain what you wanted and thought they understood. They didn't (apparently) understand. Request they do it as you had initially requested. Shouldn't be any big deal.

I would be pissed, but it doesn't look bad at all. Yeah it might not look as good, but it's not bad looking.

I like the idea of getting a full refund and then going to another paint shop to have it corrected.

Good luck getting your rear bumper fixed! I would make them do it for free. They can't just change a job request on the fly. That is bull****...
