DYNOFLASH ROCKS! im still in shock...

All i have to say is DAMN! I finally got my dyno flash done for my car... and im absolutely amazed by the power gain i feel. I was driving around with intake and afew other mods without a tune for a while and i was pretty disapointed. Driving the car was just okay... I even started looking at other cars. I finally had a chance to send my ecu in to DYNO flash and now i remember why i bought an EVO.

I HIghly suggest anyone running mods without a tune to send their ecu to dynoflash. IM still in shock.. Thanks to everyone at dyno flash.

We're getting Al back up here sometime soon hopefully. If anyone wants to take a road trip to Pittsburgh, PA go to the Pittsburgh Dynoflash thread. From what I hear, the custom tune is worth it.

I think you experienced such a big difference, because your previous mods were robbing you of power. A mail-in flash isn't that big of a deal normally, but it does give a solid 20-25whp over stock. The fact that you had an untuned set of mods that included an Injen intake probably means that you were far below where you should have been and are now up to where you should be. Great job getting a tune...you needed it.

Damn I'm in the same situation as this guy was... I have virtually the same mods as him and am currently untuned... Looks like it really does make a big difference.

Good to hear... So should I wait to get more mods done before I do a mail-in flash?

Yeah, man, if you have all those mods to include an aftermarket intake that replaces the stock air box, you need a tune in a bad way. You're probably making more noise than horsepower at this point. With a tune, even a mail-in flash, it'll probably feel like Xmas morning when you slap in the ECU...

Hmm, it's hard to keep up with your mods. I think there's only one in that list, then you have some more coming, but again, it's hard to keep track of them all, since they include mostly non-performance parts. I would venture to say that you're worse than stock with just a TurboXS intake and nothing else, so a tune would help, but at the same time, it's better to wait a little while if you're going to continue to mod a little bit at a time, otherwise you end up paying for a bunch of reflashes. I would say to get your exhaust, mbc, and bov all installed, then get a mail-in flash designed for those exact mods. You will be hauling *** afterwards for sure, even on that 91 **** gas.

Well we'll see... Think I might go ahead and get it than once I get the downpipe/cams/cam gears I get a reflash.

Man, I don't even own an Evo yet, but I've been lurking on here for the past several months, reading & learning. It amazes me the number of people who bolt on a myriad of aftermarket parts with little or no thought to how they might actually affect the real-world performance....not always for the better(but it sure looks cool on your sig).
