Why do people always say wait to get the O2 Turbo Outlet?

What are the gains of the O2 Turbo Outlet? Does anyone have dyno proven results before and after? My car came with a new one not installed. I am debating on putting it on or not.

What do you guys think?

I am also at the fence on whether to put the TEIN S-Techs on or not? Opinions are welcome please!

I put one on. They really aren't worth it for the work to put them on. The stock unit is very good, it just isn't all bling and polished like the aftermarket ones. I might have picked up a couple of hp from mine.

You say that "I might have picked up a couple of hp from mine." Does that mean that there was no noticeable difference with it? I guess that the OEM one wasn't that bad then.

Speaking of which; what is the diameter of the stock one? 2.25?

Its not so much to add gobs of power but to improve ehxuast flow. You'll see results in a full exhaust system, by itself, probably not

I already have the full exhaust and from what you are saying it will help add more power than if the exhaust was stock, right?

Another thing you want to consider is if you are going to run one of the cheaper tubular exhaust manifolds as well. The stock o2 housing has a brace to support some of the weight of the turbo, and if you replace that with an o2 housing that doesn't, then hang all that weight on a cheaper manifold, chances are it will crack alot faster than if you had that stock brace.

the gains will be minimal if any..the stock housing is engineered very well with exceptional exhaust flow. But, there will always be somehting that will pull out a couple extra hp

for those who work on the car yourself, you will know that by going to the aftermarket O2 housing, the whole weight of the exhaust/turbo system is held up by the exhaust manifold because you can no longer use the L-bracket on the stock O2 housing to help hold up the whole mass of metal to the block. And if you have aftermart tubular manifold with aftermart O2 housing, the manifold will likely crack from all the stress put on it. I went thru the hassle of swapping it out and back, no noticible difference imo. btw i got 3" all the way thru.

Doesn't your sig say you have an 02 Pipe from Helix? Oh oh, I get it, it's not a "mod" it's just sitting somewhere uninstalled... If you have it, do it or try and sell it... I don't think it's worth the money and effort to buy one though.

Actually, now that I read more... How many of those "mods" aren't really mods but are just sitting around?

Anyway, of course put the Teins on, unless you like driving really fast up entry ramps to driveways etc, or going over speed bumps fairly fast... Driving a lowered car takes a bit of skill if you don't want to scrape, but the benifits are huge and not having body roll when you turn is wonderful!!

The only two mods not on the car are the o2 housing and the TEIN S-techs...

p.s. They came with the car upon purchase

well i cannot help you with the turbo outlet. i can tell you that i have the s techs on my car and i love it. for a 2.0 drop in the front i thought it would be a real rough ride. not at all. it is close to stock ride. the way it sets your car off is awsome as well ohh and i think that the evo is the easiest car i have ever put drop springs on.

Thanks but, I still think that I have read enough bad write ups against the TEIN S-Techs and other lowering springs that I am scared off.
