As far as the parts, maybe, but the car as a whole probably wont have a theft problem!

Because it's the morally correct thing to do.

yes it is wrong and those people should be turned in.
but i would not put myself in a position where i jepordize myself and my things...
By not turning in known thieves, you are jeopardizing your "things"...Those thieves are on the street and could just decide your stuff is their next target.

and besides you turning people in the courts have to prove they are thieves...once they get out and people find out your the rat....that nice shiny blue 350z sitting in the lot that noone has bothered with because your cool with them becomes a target doesnt it???

NiLe C.
Now this is the "victim" mentality that facilitates thieves and their chosen profession. It's also the spineless, scared, and honorless person who would chose to live their life by this creedo.

If you tip off the cops, they spend the time proving guilt. That is not your responsibility, as the person who tipped off the cops....

wow you guys act like if we lock up a theif they're gonna spend the rest of their life in jail or rehabilitated themselves. U MUST BE KIDDING URSELVES!!! if a theif gets arrested, they bail themselves out, face trial, spend 3 months in jail, come out, find out who ratted them out and then do the same thing they got convicted for. it's a viscious cycle that lies much deeper than "ppl ratting their friends out. " i'd say part of it has to do with the mentality of ppl and the other part would be a poverty issue. NEITHER of which can be fixed by any type of corrections program.

How could you not rat these people out? Their stealing thousands of dollars from other people. I could understand if they stole like 5 bux from someone, but what you said wasn't just taking 5 dollars, you're talking bout destroying someones property and then taking what you want to turn around and sell for 400 bux? That's more than just bail and 3 months in jail, that's grand theft and destruction of private property. Also when they do get out and do come after you or your ****. How hard is it to call 911? I'm pretty sure you have a cell phone on you almost all the time. Just dial it and leave it off the hook and let them hear everything. Also the courts look upon repeat criminals more harshly than a first time offender. You dumbasses who won't turn in a person commiting crimes are just as bad as them doing em. Also it's known as conspiracy and the admins of this board should call the authorities give them your ip's and isp info so they can get a hold of you and the people committing the crimes to put em away. If they won't then admins just email me the info I'll do it.

im sure the wing is glued and screwed to the trunk. it def. wont be easy to remove OR the first thing someone would want to steal off the evo.

smokt's avatar is the bootylicious girl from Maxim this month who we the readers noticed in their spread about underwear a few months ago and asked for more pictures.

As to being a rat, then load me the hell on the ship, I'm a rat. You mess with someone's car, I'll be sure to let people know where to find you. If they've got hot hardware, then there's all the concrete evidence you need. "I'm not a rat" is kindergarden bull****.

MOMO

im sure a few of em will get stolen. i think stealing cars is ***** ****.
Why is someone going to want an 8-bolt 4G63? It won't bolt into any other cars sold in North America. The boost pressure has nothing to do with the engine

Brembos? What thieves are going to take your brake calipers off while the car is in your driveway? Maybe it it went to the chop shop, but otherwise...

Of course the evo is gonna be a thief magnet...the only way you can protect your car is by getting it insured and havin a sensitive loud a$$ alarm system. That's what I got on my integra. Just walking by my car will trigger the alarm. Lots of my boys have this too.
My advice: Just invest all your money in a good alarm system.

ANY car is a thief magnet. if the thieves could get money from stealing parts from a car they'll do it. whether the car is a pinto, a buick, a mitsubishi, or a benz.. they'll do it. just like twinpnoy said, just invest your money in a good alarm system. u can get wheel locks, the autolock to put on the clutch, a club (instead of putting it on the steering wheel) to lock the shifter into gear by stretching the club from the shifter to the ebrake, and you can even get your own personal boot.. just like the boots you get from the parking authority ppoL. and i dont know if this is standard for all alarms, but the new vipers have hood sensors which activate the alarm if the hood is opened.. i know not all of this is going to stop the thieves from stealing stuff from the car or even stealing the car itself, but it sure as hell is going to slow them down. better to have them slow down and give you a chance to do something yourself or give you time to call the cops, rather than just letting them get away with the car as they usually do. just my $.02..

If you're not prepared to protect any investment you make, chances are it's eventually going to be exploited and pillaged. All these moral issues aside, car theft isn't going away anytime soon. So unless you're a step ahead of the thieves you might as well put a flashing neon light over your ride that says, "EASY PREY". To run with the big dogs you have to be able to bite harder than the rest. Make sure all your car-thieving buddies know you won't think twice about hunting them down and costing them a few grand in hospital bills.
