....W A K E M A N, Ohio. WTF is there to do in W A K E M A N, Ohio
How in the hell am I going to kill 3 wonderful days/nights in Norwalk while waiting on the Buschur boys to work their magic?
A) Take in a Cleveland Indians game (vs a powerful KC Royals team)...um, no.
B) Pay $60 to stand in line for hours to ride a 45 second roller-coaster...um, don't think so.
C) Dog the living sh*t out of a Dodge Neon rental car...um, probably will do that
So... WTF is there to do in Wakeman, Ohio? On a Monday and Tuesday, no less.
I looked at a map of Wakeman/Norwalk and I'm guessing by the size there probably isn't a Hooters for miles....
God, I hope my hotel has ****-on-demand....

A half hour north of Wakeman ohio is Sandusky Ohio.... home to the BEST amusement park in the world. At any given time there are 15 big time thrill rides (10 or more large roller coasters, and 5 or more other thrill rides of some kind) with an average wait for the newest coaster being an hour.... but the wait for the coasters that have been there two years or more is closer to 15 min than it is to an hour. Best money you can spend is in Wakemen itself, but you can't enjoy that until Dave is done, the second best is Ceder Point

smoke crack? time flies when you're high.

seriously, find some cliffs to jump off of near a reserve. they have tons of those reserves, and usually you could cliff dive and have a good time.

The strip club wasn't bad. I even got a buy one get one free lap dance there. Can't remember the name of it cuz I was too fubared. Some women there that wasn't a stripper inadvertently showed me some pink too. I then saw her at the shootout the next day and was like WOW I've seen her before!
My friend kept making fun of it on the video. I had to edit out a bunch of footage as not to get in to much trouble

Yeah, the 3 days thing took me by surprise too but I think two of the days are just for shipping the ECU to Al (overnight to NJ, I believe) so my car will just be sitting there with all brawn and no brains.
Since I'm driving like 9-10 hours each way I have to stay and wait it out but I'll feel guilty if I go the the Point and drop a couple hundred bucks because I could've put that into the car (short shifter w/ bushings, Top Thrill Dragster, or lap dances...oh the choices).
Besides, I am coming up alone and I can just hear it now..."Any solo riders wishing to ride Millennium Force in the front row with a slightly balding, middle-aged man please step right up...

I've been bugging the hell out of Dan for 2 weeks with the scheduling and re-scheduling of this trip. I've changed from Stages 1-3, to just Stages 1 & 2 with a clutch install...now I have my eye on their short shifter and bushings. I've been trying to find extra money to justify going back to Stage 3...I'm sure Dan will be glad when I leave cause I've been changing my mind almost daily it seems.

You realize you could have had them install the hard parts of the mods and then you could have mailed the ECU to AL yourself from your home instead of spending money on a hotel and all that other stuff right? That may have saved you enough $$$ to justify stage III.

Wakeman, Ohio. What a town we have. Most exciting thing that happens is our customers getting chased by the police! Just kidding.
Not much to do here. Too bad your appointment isn't in a few weeks. You could atleast watch the dyno pulls while you are here.
The actual work on your car is only going to take a day. The time is from overnighting the ECU to Al and back. I apologize for that.
We send it out the day the car gets there and we have it back early on the 3rd day. So it is more like 2 days and a morning
Hope that makes you feel better.
Lake Erie is close by, you can take a boat trip to one of the islands, pretty cheap actually. Good Times one is an all day cruise with a couple of stops for about $25.
Couple of water parks you can hit close by. Take a 45 minute drive to Cleveland and see the Rock and Roll hall of fame, there is also another big buidling right next to the Hall of Fame, I can't remember it's name but it is a science building I think, very cool. Tons of things to do within an hour of us. Not much traffic if you don't hit 9 and 5 o'clock rush hours.
You can hang out at the shop and BS too, we get busy and have work to do so don't feel left out if we run off to do something like answer a phone or weld up a part
