Same thing happends to my Twin Turbo Z.

Feels like I lose about 20-30 horsepower.

Yes, just keep an eye on the temp gauge .... you'll be surprised what the car can take ... Best Motoring did a test on a range of sports cars in extreme heat conditions (100+ F I believe), 20-30 min trashing on the track and the EVO came out on top unscathed followed by the STi ... some of the cars that did over heat shocked me cough*BMW M3*cough .....

actually the suby intercooler is mounted on top of the transaxle, not the engine.

on hot days I pack the i/c sprayer full of ice from one of those self serve beverage counters at a fast food joint. save 10 hp e-z.

95 degrees or 20 degrees my car will run the same.. boy i love an autronic and a stock turbo..

It's still 'above' the engine though.

Don't run the AC. That sluggishness you feel is probably from running the AC in hot weather. I have driven the car with the AC on and 4 passengers. Didn't feel as peppy.

I think any of those three factors will kill the peppy factor of this engine.
