FS: Forge recirc. BOV

I recently purchased this BOV but after installing it, was not completely satisfied with the partial throttle fluttering I was getting. I went back to the OEM diverter valve and have decided to sell the Forge unit.

Some people say that they haven't had any problems with this BOV but unfortunately, I was one of the ones that had some fluttering issues.

Here are some pics of what comes included:

You will recieve the BOV, four different springs...(the red one is in the valve...)
and three shims for fine adjustments.

The price is $105 shipped......

If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will respond in a timely manner.

Thanks,

Tony

No thank you... If you had problems then it could be a problem with the Recirc Valve!

I'm not trying to rain on your attempt to sell this valve, but we are no longer recommending it's use for the Evo applications.

We will now be promoting the use of our All-New Type RS valve for use on any '03-'06 Evo 8's or 9's including the RS and MR.

Recirc. Only

i hope he means that his new valve is better than the old one, but the old one works fine.. i have the "original" forge dv and have no problems.. maybe he just had the wrong spring installed.. right?

No **** Forge. And why do you expect someone to buy the new unit when in a year you will say that it should not be used and try to sell us all another new design.

I had one to sell too, but I guess I will use it as a paperweight and go with an HKS SSQV.

I too had one of the originals. I practically had to give it away. It was awesome under hihg boost, but the partial throttle lift off was bad for me.

I wish those of us who have struggled with the old one could test out a new recirc one.

The valve Tony is trying to sell holds boost like a champ! Hopefully the new ones will too.

Can you imagine if someone were trying to sell a Forced Performance turbo and FP came on here in their thead and said "Actually our orginal design sucked. Don't buy this guys turbo. Call us and buy our new design"

Wouldn't happen. I think Forge should buy back this guys BOV since they destroyed any hope of him selling it to another member.

First off, did you try another spring beside the red one that is in it? For boost pressures up to 23 psi, the yellow spring, by itself, will work great. A blue or a red spring will cause part throttle surge.

BTW, the new RS version is a nice piece.

Well,

Just checked the thread and all I can say is....."Wow......."

I tried a BUNCH of different combinations of springs and shims but nothing seemed to improve the driveability of the valve.

Mike @ Forge.......... Thanks for clarifying to everyone that this BOV is not the best of solutions..... unfortunately you've probably signed the death sentence on it ever getting sold also........

I purposely described the issues I was having with it before i even posted the pics or price so that there would be complete disclosure as to why I was selling the unit, but with the feedback posted so far i would be VERY surprised if anyone would be interested in it now that you've put your STAMP of DISAPPROVAL on it......... thanks so much!

I hope you have lots of success selling your new unit. Probably one more will be sold now that mine has become worthless and obsolete............

For all the people out there that had good luck with the older unit.......... I'm very happy for you......

For all the people out there that didn't............ dust off a space on your desk, because you just bought an expensive paperweight.......

I had been interested in perhaps purchasing one of the newer units, but after this display of customer support and thread destruction I'd rather use the stocker...... at least I know where I stand with that one.........

Tony
