More rice?
depends. If the one intends on using it to keep from blowing their engine due to over revving no. If one wants one to just say "look i have a shift light" yes. iono. lol
It depends on if you need it. If you have a stock evo or even a slightly modded evo you dont need it. Its really for cars that go so fast that you can pay attention to the rpms or a car that has an engine thats rpms go up so quick you can lose it fairly easy. Well if you need it and think its easier to shift for you then go for it but i personally think its kinda ricey.
tach-umm...rice cuz we already have a tach and its center mount (the best)
shift light would just be personal pef. (more for drag racing)

yay on shift light, nay on those 6" tachometer.
why don't we use "useless, tacky, tasteless, no need, " instead of rice?
really that's from the ford boys who started using that a while back in the days to make fun of asians who drove civics (when the import scene took off in early part of 90's.)
ok?
It's like me saying to an italians who drive tacky ferrari's with lots of stickers, pizza pie.
or calling people redneck for driving a ford mustang.
it's not true, and it's just tasteless on its own.

i think that another tach is not needed, but i would get a shift light, that is very far from rice. i dont know how many times i was passing someone on a two lane road and i bang the rev limiter. it scares the **** out of me. i would get the shift light that goes in a gauge pod on the a frame. that is my personal prefrence.
Just listen to the engine in order to know when to shift. You shouldn't even need a tach, much less some tacky monster tach and a poseur shift light. Come on. We drive Evos, not Honda Civics ladies.
