Sparco Evo Racing Shell - Initial Impression
You can use sliders with sidemounts, but with the seat base Sparco sells, it puts your seat about 1" higher than stock, and sliders will add another 1/4" to 1/2" to that. I didn't get sliders so I'm not sure on the exact amount.
Very nice, nubby.
As you know, I had to get my Eclipse specific Sparco brackets completely reworked, too, to get them to work. Sparco seats are definitely worth the money, but their brackets are a ripoff.
Let me know when I can check your seat out.
Sometime this weekend should work and I'd like to see the Eclipse. Or if you happen to be in the neighborhood of Sublime, stop into work and I'll show off the seat.
I'm sooo happy to have the seat where I want it. I sit a little lower than stock now, which is great and makes the car feel a little less sedan-like.

Nice to hear you like it.
The problem is that Sparco offers 2 levels of bases. One is way cheap and the other one is a little more expensive. The more expensive brackets are very good qualty and have always fit perfectly in the cars we have installed them in.
The other ones we have never brought in because we do not like selling a inferior product. If you are having a problem installing the seats it is either just the side mounts are flipped the wrong way or you may have the cheaper base.

If you're really interested, I can get you the contact information for the shop, and if it comes down to it, I'd be happy to drop off my car so they could use my bracket as a template.
I don't know where you're located, but if you have some decent shops around, you might be better off having it fabbed locally.

I'll PM you the contact information. The guy who fabbed the bracket, Mike, said it would only be about 2 hours of labor to build another bracket if he takes the measurements off of my bracket.
The shop is only a couple doors down from where I work, so if Mike needs my bracket to take measurements, I can drop off my car. Won't put me out at all, I can't drive my car when I'm working anyway.
