I am having technical diffculties in making my wife's AWD town & country recreate that "gay" happy go lucky slowbaru exhuast tone. Apparently in a similar fashion to harley davidson, slowbaru has patented that odd misfiring sound that announces to the world - URABUS (Slowbaru spelled back wards)

Anyway if the mini van project is not done in time, I may have to just run my evo - pity those slowbarus.

Seriously though, I hear that SPD the performance arm of Slowbaru of North America has offered to donate a dump truck of kitty litter and speed dry to clean up all the oil downs from the broken slowbarus

 

Can't wait to see some video footage of this. Does anybody know what the layout of the autox course will be like?

 

Oh, then no for us. We don't plan on getting anywhere near NYC, since we're coming from the South.

 

It is being run by the local SCCA chapter - they do these every few weeks there and they vary the course lay out every time to make it competative. Its a fast course as there is a lot of room - lots of time in top of 2nd and 3rd

 

i used to run at etown in my slocura (avatar pic taken there). the courses would usually last between 30-35 secs for the faster cars , sometimes 40-45 if it had dual loops. the courses usually have an offset slalom, hairpin, long sweeper, short sweeper, 90 deg and then usual left/rite corners. the pavement is a bit rough on the tires and there r a couple of dips toward the finish, hopefully they'll route the course around them. just a heads up for u guys.
the staff that runs the autox events are a great bunch of guys, i'm assuming they'll be there this time as well. Ernie Anderson is a cool guy, brings his beautiful '67 stingray to the events and kicks *** with it.

yea, we can go to the "grease trucks", in new brunswick. most young ppl in nj and some out of state know where "grease trucks" is , it's that famous. we could also hang around the bars in new brunswick, for college girls , although the population during the summer is a bit scarce.

Does anyone know if there will be an AWD class for DSM's like last year? My friend wants to race his GSX against our friends with Slowbarus and beat up on them. He trapped 117 last time out with bad 60 fts running low 12s, hes looking for 11's this time. Im hoping to crack into the 11's also, just added a 10.5 housing and Helix 02, my previous best before that was a 12.26.

 

The flyer only mentions Evo vs WRX.
