whicked crash

not a very happy thread but about an Evo none the less.

a guy i go to tech school with right now has a friend back home who was just killed as a passenger in a Evo. They were drunk as hell and speeding liek crazy. SOMEHOW cause of death was the roof comming apart from car and literally decapitating them.

Anyone from PA/DE/MD/NJ area might have seen it in the news.

anyone ever heard of a roof doing that in a crash? i've never heard of it before

how can i roof decap them if its over their heads unless they ran into something. i dont think the windshield is going to do it because its designed to shatter in case of a collision. i call it bs.

That is why my insurance company told me that ithe EVO isn't a safe vehicle. I thought that it was an unfounded statement but I see now that they were right. On a 5pt scale 5 being the worst the EVO falls under a 4.5 out of 5. My old 300ZX TT was a 2 out of 5. My insurance company is USAA.

I don't think it was the car that was unsafe. I think it was the drivers that were unsafe. The EVO is one of the best cars out there to avoid crashes with; good handling, awd, great brakes, it's being irresponsible that gets people into trouble.

ppl just wanna don their 'superevo' capes on and test the limits of their evo and they take their evo's on the street that isn't the safest place to push the envelope...sad to see casualties from all this...even high *** insurance premiums aren't going to deter stupidity and recklessness

Exactly a safe car doesnt make a safe driver.
