If you don't plan on modding, or taking your next car to the track I say go with the G35. It's faster out of the box than an EVO (in a straight line anyway), and looks a lot nicer. If you want to cart around your friends though, go with a mini van. J/K

The G is an awsome car but is nose heavy and feels sluggish most of the time. My best friend has the 05 6MT and my gfriend has the 03 Auto. I loved both their Gs but they loved my Evo more...

If you're looking for an average 2dr sports car that has decent power and handling with a sophisticated stance...then by all means get the G35.

On the other hand, if you wanna be unique by driving an above average 4dr sports sedan with the power and handling that's comparable to cars worth nearly twice as much and also has an aggressive stance, then sure...go with the Evo.

The decision is yours.

Stock 05 Evo 1/4mi. 13.3-13.5 sec.
Stock 05 G35 (6MT) 1/4mi. 13.8-14sec.

From a roll on the highway you may be right. From a dig, no way... $80 Boost controller w/ 30min. installation, heeeelll no way.

slightly? G35 6MT is a great car on its own. but to say that the EVo is only slightly faster is just plain false. Unless you live in a world without rain, curves and corners. then you are right.

even tho the g35 has more hp and 6spd, its still slower than the evo. My friend has an 05 g35 and i have an 05 evo 8. we raced in a closed area from a roll at 50 mph. I gave him the head start by not flooring it until his rear bumper lined up with my front bumper. I still caught up to him and started to pass him in 4th gear until we ran out of room. so its not really "slightly" faster than the g35 IMO. Not to mention both cars are stock. the evo is more practical, four doors, millions of stares, better performance, looks are your own opinions, mpg roughly the same. Interior is also your own opinion. i have the SSL package and i love it but yeah, stats wise, the evo would be a better choice. If you dont want an evo, then get a 350z over the g35. 350z is cheaper and performs better. the g35 is more for luxury. unless your getting the R35 GTR next year, then thats a diff ball game. im not trying to bag on the g35, it is a good car, but i think the evo is a better choice. plus the evo was rated best valued car i think this year. so up to you. you can either get the number 2 most wanted car from japan and best car in its company or a super de-tuned non-turbo version of the best car in its company. Up to you.

I don't need to mention and specs for the Evo, cause u already know all of them.

The G35 has 298 hp, V6 6 speed stick. Full leather standard. Real wheel drive.

Evo isnt slightly faster, its a lot faster. Evo = 13.4 - 13.6 in the 1/4 G35 = 14.1

And also, they're entirely different cars... you'll never get to take a G35 to the track. Well you can... but not as fun or near as good as evo

Two totally different cars, for two totally different markets. The evo is an enthusiast car, the G35 coupe is a luxary sports car

It just depends, what do you want to do with your car? The g35 is basically a looker, it looks dam good, mods don't really do much for the engine unless you go turbo. We all know the evo responds well to mods, but it won't have the ride/look quality of the g35.

Just question your self, "what do you want"

Wrong stats...wrong model years.

05 Evo is 12.9-13.1 at 104-105mph.

The newer 298hp g35 reaches 13s.

At this point you're comparing apples and oranges, you may want to take some time and...

I had a 2004 g35 6mt......for a week bfore i decided the car was not for me...if i was 45+ years old...it would be a great car......the evo in my opinion out handles the g in every aspect...sure it had leather and a few creature comforts..but the lack of fun factor compared to my evo.......like i said if you are 45+ get the g.....

I didn't read this whole threadbut, Go to the Infiniti dealership. I can almost promise you won't find a G35 coupe MT for $33K. Also Infiniti is making less and less 6sp for the coupe. Good luck though. Awesome car both ways you go.
