I traded my g35 4 door for an evo because maintenance costs were REDICULOUS!!! Look at the required maintenance shedule and the prices. It will make you sick to your stomach.

If you buy an Evo then you'll be one of the coolest guys in your town. If you buy the Infinity then you're driving a car that's sold to 1/3 women and 2/3 guys.

Get the MR if you want some comfort ride of the G35. I drove my sister G35 and comparing to the MR, the G35 feel heavy like a pig especially at those turns. The MR is also too quiet that it's boring to me sometimes. Also you'll see the G35 in every intersection. When I was driving my Infiniti G20, there's rarely an infiniti car around but now they're every where. Don't get me wrong, Infiniti is a very good company which build quality cars and treat their customers very good.

The EVO only do one thing and it do best, performance which lead to fun, very fun from point A to Z. So if you want to have fun driving a car without costing an arm or leg then get the EVO. The G35? Well just another almost-luxury car.

i just have no idea where you get your price from??????????????????
the new 2005 G35 w/ upgraded engine (300hp) w/ "some" options cost $40,000 not including NAV.
and more likely, there are premiums for manual w/ sport package.
you'll be lucky, if you can buy it with sticker price~~~~~~

haha i was in the same position as you.. it really depends on how old you are. For me, i'm 21.. so i figure, if i bought a g35 now, i wouldn't have anything to look foreward to later in life. Thus i bought the evo.. another thing to look at is where you live.. is snow a factor? severe rain? etc.. also what you want to do with it.. autocross, track racing, etc.

AND HAVE YOU DRIVEN A G35!?!?! i mashed the pedal to the floor.. and the thing accelerates like a tank.. more for luxary.. NOT for speed.. My advice is to buy the evo VIII leather package + sun and sound. best of both worlds IMO

I love the looks of the G35.

However, on the way home from the SoCal Vishnu dyno day there was a G35 riding my ***. So I put it in 4th, changed lanes and bye-bye G35. Honestly, I couldn't believe how fast I left him behind. If you want to mod the car, get an Evo.

Ok, I have been living in this town for 8 years now, (and I plan to continue to live in this town for the rest of my life) and I have NEVER seen an Lancer EVO. I have seen some normal Lancers, but NEVER any EVOs. So if I got the Lancer Evo, then I would be the only one here with one, and its a small enough town that I would imidiatly get recognised the first time I drive it. Basicly, I will OWN the TOWN.

And I am 19 now, so I guess that I am kinda young for a luxury car like the G35, but I still LOVE the way it looks. And I am currently going to a "expensive" college, and if I got it, I would just fit right in with them. But if I got he EVO, then I would be having the sweetest car to roll up in that school's parking lot.

And as a side note, I am not sure that I will be taking the Evo to the track. Cause I have to drive like 45 min away, and I am still a n00b stick driver. I have only droven my friends stick cars hear and there in a parking lot, so my point being is that I don't think that I am worthy of a track yet...

And where I live, it is infested with cops everywhere. They are real **** about the law. Although they will let you do 5 mph above the limit, I woun't be able to show off the EVO's true power here...well, maybe I can just show it at a red light. I mean thats the only type of car competition here. Who can accelerate faster when the light turns green. And I hope that the EVO has crazy acceleration. Can someone tell me about it? And where I live, there is tons of snow in the winter, and tons or rain in the spring. So I am looking forward to the AWD.

yeh, g35 coupe is very nice.

it's very tempting of a car.

it's one of those cars that looks beautiful, functions well and drives fairely fast as well as handle marvelously.

But really, not the raw performer like the Evo.

I think if I was a bit older, I would drive something like that...

on weekdays in traffic.

then weekend, take the Evo to the 129, n. GA, Auto-x, Drag strip, anything and everything.

I used to own a G35 Coupe 6MT. It was a beautiful car and I really loved it. You can not compare the performance of the Evo with the G35 as the Evo will kick it's $ss.

The G35 is a luxury sports coupe, so it is built for luxury first, performance second. The Evo is just about the opposite of that. It is built for performance first. It totally depends on whether looks or performance is most important to you.

A friend once told me that you will see the car every time you get in it, but you will only feel the real performance of the car every so often when you get a chance.

Still at this time, I would prefer the Evo because once you go fast, it's hard to take something slower.
