I just had a customer call me that has GSC 272/264, LPI 3" TBE, Meth injection kit, TT reflash, 780cc Injectors, ARP Studs, Walbro, Helix intake, 29psi stock turbo put down 401whp/437ft lb on Turbo Trix's dyno last night at 11:30pm. Doesn't seem like a waste of time in my opinion.

As a side note... with a TT flash, I've NEVER had the HKS 272/272 setup stall on me. They are mildly lopey, and lopey more so when the A/C is off. However they do not stall at stop lights, and I never, ever have to "drive around them".
I just thought the air needed to be cleared on that matter...

What type of underwear do you wear?
Briefs = Stock Cams
Thong = 264/264
Boxers = 272/272
No Underwear = 280/280
I disagree with the mixing and matching of the cams. Either you are "All In" or you Fold.
This is My 2 pennies.

I'm going to purchase cams/cam gears/studs as well by next weekend. I was thinking of straight 272's but I plan on putting in a bigger turbo by Dec. Would it make sense to just go with the 280's now?
Any ideas.

Lots of discussions on this, but they've died down lately with all the upgraded turbo talk.
FWIW, I have the Buddy Club cams. I've seen two other members post their results as well, and all of us had very good number. From the small sample size, similar to GSC cams. Like the GSC cams, they have the "same" specs as HKS in terms of lift and duration. Also like the GSC, they do not look super smooth and blingy like the HKS, which are polished, but they seem to work as well or better.
The orig buddy clubs only came 264/272, but I think you can get straight 264s or 272s now? I went this route since I wanted a decent idle with no cam gears and good power. Powerband is great, and I still haven't seen a direct comparison to 272/264 to see which one gains more where. I did a lot of searchs, and heard conflicting theories, but don't recall a back to back comparison.
Low-end on my car feels improved compared to the stock cams, and mid/top end is much better. Peak gains were probably 20 HP, but in the upper RPM it's much more. At Pruven with a custom flash I put down 331 HP and 338 TQ uncorrected on a day with nearly optimal conditions (not too hot and low humidity). Al was impressed considering the stock airbox and K&N panel filter.
Take care,
