like everybody else said it is like night and day. NA front wheel drive vs. turbo awd. one of my friends had an 03 sentra spec v and don't get me wrong that thing rolled out for what it was. massive amounts of torque too. but IMHO i would sell the sentra and buy an evo. believe me it is worth every penny. i still get the biggest ****eatin' grin everytime i crack into it. just my 2 cents.

I put 38,000 miles on an 01 Z06 and recently traded it in on a Nissan Titan (I need a tow vehicle for my race car) - I kept our 05 Evo for a variety of reasons, like it's new and under warranty, but I really like driving the Evo as well - preference: Tie

I also have a 99 Viper GTS which is not nearly as good as a daily driver as the Evo, but I would definitely keep the Viper over the Evo - preference: Viper

My 95 Z28 has evolved into a race car and it's not street legal anymore so it's hard to make a direct comparison. The Camaro has been cheap, fast, and reliable - preference: probably the Evo

I owned an E36 M3 for two years - preference: Evo

I also had a 93 RX7TT - preference: Evo

As soon as you drive one you will know what all of us mean. This is an awesome car. Its kind of the godfather of the imports in my opinion. It has its issues but nothihng more then what you would encounter throwing a turbo on any other car. Just drive one and get it.

I came from a vtec prelude and its like when you hit vtec but 10x harder . You get better traction, better acceleration, better handling, more useable power, more room, etc etc... The only down part that some people might see is gas mileage and the stiffness of the ride, but for me its only the gas mileage.

I am curious about the specifics of your claim of 92 turbo talon < Evo. Not that I am disagreeing with you as I have not driven an Evo yet. I am curious about the specifics. Is it the sensitivity of the steering wheel? Weight distribution? It can't be power since the engines are basicly the same. Are you comparing stock to stock? Have you upgraded your suspension components in either car?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I am considering "upgrading" my talon to an evo. (my talon has upgraded everything and stroked to 2.4L)

I didn't bother to read all the other posts, but let me tell you this. I have a neighbor who has a Spec-V SE-R and I drive it every now and then. DOES NOT COMPARE TO THE EVO.. Drive an EVO and you will see what I'm talking about.

That $4 grand you wanted to spend on your Spec-V, that could get you a **** load of mods on the EVO.

Let's see what $4 grand gets you...
3"turboback exhaust=$600
3"intake pipe=$120
Walboro 255 fuel pump=$100
MBC=$50
Autometer BG=$60
Autometer EGT=$150
SAFCII=$300
Greddy Type S BOV= $150
ACT 2600=$600
Fidanza flywheel=$300

Total=$2,430 and counting. This setup will get you atleast 280-310 AWHP.

Catch my drift...
