you guys still forget different altitudes and weather conditions. Let alone it doesn't matter if its the same car mod for mod the same engines make different power.

I would be truely happy running what he did and atleast hes happy about it. GJ man!

Driv is ecstatic about his car with cams, but 109-110mph on 101oct is not very good. I don't care about his ET...the mph shows the power being made (or lack thereof).
There's so many factors in the trap speed that you can't just say it isn't making power. Just 2 weeks ago at the dragstrip, when I was starting off idle, I was running consistent 14.5s at 102 mph, with a 2.6-2.7 60ft'. With a light launch/bog at 4k, I was cutting 2.1-2.2 60fts and running 13.6's at 106. My trap speed went up 4mph just by a better launch.

I'm confident that had I cut a 1.7 60ft I could've ran 12s at 110+. Now had you seen my 14.5 at 102 run, you would've said that my car wasn't making power. But with a launch my car can trap 110+.

From what it looks like, Driv is a mediocre dragracer (as am I, if not worse), and you're much better than average, probably one of the best from your times/mods. I'm sure you could run even faster times and traps in my car but slower traps don't necessarily mean lower HP.

What fun! Best before cams was 12.9 @ 107mph.

Car idles alomst like stock. You have to listen to hear the difference. Amazing increase in power all through the powerband!!!! Seriously, amazing!!!!!!!!

So much fun!
Driv200,

Congrats on your times, they are good even though I think you could have done a bit better.
I am not going to defend no one or attack no one, I am a moderator on www.evolutionmr.net and I am the one that have been tracking and updating all the 05 MR running on the tracks.

Warrtalon actually runs much quicker with less mods but I am not saying that Driv200 times are bad, I am saying that Driv200 can do better with his current mods.

Please join us at www.evolutionmr.net and view the overall quickest registered MR's.

Driv200, please register on evolutionmr and create your own userID so that I can updates your times in the master resgistry.

I will update your times for now using Driv200 id. Could you please let us know where did you run your car(location and altitud)?

This is the EVOMR "drag racing world ":

well if you're not going to launch at all (2.6-2.7 60fts) then your trap speed is going to suffer. Don't think that you will get 110mph if your 60ft was 1.7. Trap speeds are only affected by launch to a small extent but if you don't launch at all then you can't compare. Overall, trap speeds are most definitely an indication of overall power (not necessarily peak power).

then how do you explain my friend who's a good dragracer getting in my car and running 3-4mph faster than me every time? Or better still, people with a ton more mods and whp than Warrtalon running slower times and traps.

Driving has a huge role in this. You cannot discount a car running slow traps by saying it's not making the power.

nah, a 1.75 60 foot is a very very easy task to accomplish. Even with the 5500 rpm rev limiter.
he's also mediocre, he has just gotten good times because he's probably at a fast track or had ideal conditions.

right now, i dont even really pay much attention to the times and speeds coming out of midly modded cars because it is so damn hot which really affects performance.

i can go to one track and run 91 mph through the 1/8 and go to another and run 85 mph through the 1/8. That doesnt mean that im a bad driver, it just means that conditions were different, and that maybe timing equipment is different. It means nothing about me as a driver though.

Yeah, that's it, Dylan. I'm mediocre, and all 3 tracks I've gone to with the Evo were fast with ideal conditions. 80 degrees and 60% is the best, and all 3 tracks are faster than anywhere else in the country despite being 50-80 miles from each other!!

I guarantee I would not run a 12.0 with a 117mph trap. I may have a 12.0 at my current 110-111mph range for you on a 4th track that is "fast" and with "ideal" conditions (mid-august heat) in 3 weeks just to maintain my level of mediocrity...

sorry, but a 1.75 60 foot IS mediocre, no doubt about it.

and if you've only gotten that 60 foot one time and been to three tracks, you cant blame the slow time on the track. It's you.

do you have pics of the timeslips from three different tracks? If not well then you really dont have much of a leg to stand on when using that argument. also, why would you go to three different tracks?

besides, im just trying to make these guys feel better. Obviously you have hit a nerve with them, and it's with more than one person. you are pretty condescending to people that dont run equal times to yours with similar or more mods than you, and it makes you look like a cocky jerk.

so why dont you ease up off people who dont run the times that you do, there are more factors in the equation than you know, so quit acting like you do know.
