Why don't you just put on legal tint?

And the police don't report anything to your insurance company. The police report to the DMV. Part of your insurance contract allows them to randomly pull your motor vehicle report from the DMV anytime they please. Most do it on your renewal date. For example, say on any certain day, your insurance company had 10,000 auto policies renewing on that day alone. They would randomly select say 10% of those for motor vehicle report review. To sum it up, your chances are slim, but when they do finally get you, you're screwed if you have a laundry list of charges.
For those wondering, accidents are a whole different ballgame. When your insurance company gets word you've been involved in an accident, your rates will be on the move as soon as your claim is closed, or as soon as it is sent for subrogation, whichever comes first, although some companies will wait until your next renewal to bend you over.
heres what you do you find a picture of your car not tinted bring it in and say you didnt know you couldnt tint the windows that dark and the place you got tinted at said it would be fine, and say as soon as you got the ticket you took the tint of and show them the picture. WORKED FOR ME THREE TIMES!!
I think our cars come with a 92% tint or something along those lines. that could be the reason the meter read lower. my installer told me that 20% looked darker because of the factory tint.
