friends dilemma
my friend is in the market for a new car and apparently it HAS to be new. i told him to try to get an evo but he thnks it will be too much. he has 25k cash to spend. does anyone have any other ideas of what he should get, he's looking at the legacy GT but he's not against getting a cheaper car and upgrading it, does anyone else have any ideas? and he REALLY doesnt want to go the SRT4 route
acura rsx type -s is a good car in his price range
of course str-4 is faster and handles better
wrx is also a good choice
i would save more money and wait for next summer and get a new evo 9
or buy a used evo now.

RSX-S. I have one and its a great car. By far the best NA 4cyl when it comes to modding. Maybe wait on the civic si as it will surely be lighter than the RSX and still carry the K20. I will miss the car... it is only a matter of time before I buy an EVO.
he can buy my yellow evo. 8900 miles...like new....interior still smells new, never smoked or ate in...NEVER seen snow, rain 3x.
24k and it's his with a few basic tasteful mods. ALL original parts included.
auto-xed once and dragged once.

was just on car and driver tv today. on a shootout, they said the srt-4 was the fastest and with the acr package, was the fastest at the auto-x course they set up, but that the rs-x was rated #1 due to the all around performance.
everyone knows that a stock srt will kill an rsx racing, but the rsx is a more civil car to drive...
EVO VIII RS. I got mine for $500 under invoice, so he is only 2 grand away.

PS: Can't he finance 2 to 4 grand for 4 years? That is only around 50 to 100 a month payments.
