I don't see how it would really affect anything other than safety and coolant pressure. Sure having a stiffer non-flexing hose will help with coolant pressure just a tad through the turbo, but other than that I don't see any reason for the car to act different.

I just got my coolant hose replaced. As part of the recall you get a full synthetic oil change for FREE!

I would highly recommend having it done for the FREE oil change.

My dealer, White Plains Mitsu actually called me to inform me of the recall. Just had it performed today. Would have been a $138 repair if it weren't part of the recall.

Had mine replaced last week. I don't think that a free oil change is part of the deal. They did drain some coolant and replace it with some new coolant. Car feels exactly the same. Took about an hour.

Just had it done today. Thanks for the post!!!
P.S. They said nothing about my lowered, sway bar'd, huge exhaust silver bullet. I am liking this dealer....so far.

have them check your VIN man. . it could be, it might be, you'd only know once Mitsu gets notice of the purchase and runs YOUR VIN and then notifies the person on the title (hopefully you). . .read up above, call that 1-800 number with your VIN, if you're part of the campaign, get it done, and check your coolant level after and have them top it off in case it's low. . .

I just got off the phone w/ MMNA customer service. My VIN is not listed as having any recalls. The service rep was not aware of any 2005 recalls though.
