For those who can read. This is where the info is go to the stated website:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...callsearch.cfm
Enter the ID number: 05V335000
Go to the bottom of the page and click on Document Search.
That will pull out two PDF document. There you will find more detail info regarding the recall. I'm printing out the documents and taking it to the dealership and have them take care of the problem. If they don't then will have them call the mitsu number and let them deal with it.

What is the production date of your car? If it is between 12/10/04 and 6/6/05 call the dealership with your VIN and they can check right away. It doesn't matter when it was imported, it matters when it was produced. Or you can call me and I will check it for you. 801.225.7715 ask for Rick

I had an 03 with a leaky coolant hose in the same locations... I had to take it in 3 times, but at least everytime all the work and parts were covered under "warranty" (the dealer loved me ) and by the 3rd time it was fixed and they refilled my coolant system for free. I wonder if it's a problem on a few of the older ones too, but they're just recalling the 05s cuz Mitsu sucks *** like that.

What it would look like if it was leaking: greenish puddles left everywhere you park and a lower than normal coolant level.

That hose went on mine at 300 miles and made a mess and was smoking so much I thought it was on fire. Oh well now I find out its a recall.

I was behind an 05 when his turbo coolant hose busted. That thing was smokin. I thought he blew the motor at first. The hose busted open right at the bend.

Dealership takes 2 hours to replace it.
