Ive only had one issue where this came up at my shop while the car was on the dyno. The hose just split right down the middle, was very weird.

Why don't you actually call Mitsubishi the company?

This is straight from the NHTSA site.

it's not BS, go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...callsearch.cfm and you can type in the NHTSA Campaign ID Number (which is 05V335000 if you are too lazy to find it on the first page) and see for yourself that this is the real deal.

it says that there are at most 1179 vehicles affected by this problem, hopefully mine isnt one of them :/

My dealer said there is no recall aswell, I guess maybe after aug. 15? I told them it was on the offical recall website he just said mitsubishi didn't tell them about it so I dont know. Dealers are idiots , I tired calling them first time to run my vin they refused and tell me I have to make an appointment to come in for them to be able to check with the vin. I called another dealership to try to get them to run the vin over the phone and was rejected. Called back first dealership and they ran my vin, (another guy), Just to prove..one person can say one thing , another person can do the opposite.

happened to me too... @ 15k miles I started spraying anti-freeze all over the place. Even into someones car at a stop light.

I look over, and there she is... wiping her eyes while my while hood is steaming like Mt. Saint Helens.

Cool

hey, i have an '04 and i have that problem now. wonder if they would take care of it?? it is the small hose running from the turbo to the back side of the block. have any of you watched this little hose while revving your engine??? i was checking to see if i could find the leak and was revving my engine and WOW....that little hose expands quite a bit. even when your car is warm. scary that your whole engine may depend on one little hose holding up....will post pics tomorrow...after i put on my 3" magnaflow cat...heheheeh
