I took an 05 for a testdrive to see how it compared to my 04. I liked everthing about it, especially extended warranty/LSD/10.5 hotside etc (except for the lack of HID's). The GM came over and told me he wanted to move one that night and would do anything he could to make a deal.
After lots of haggling/bickering etc. This is the deal I got - Traded in my 2004 WW GSR with 18,xxx miles. I drove off in a new 05 EB GSR (not SSL!). I payed 28,7xx for the new one = plus tax/title/license/gap insurance at 0% for 60 months.
South Coast Mitsubishi in Costa Mesa California. They told me they were the largest volume dealer on the west coast....and that they sell more evos than any other dealership. They have a used 05 WW MR on the showroom floor, and 30, thats right 30 evos in back. Any color you want with or without SSL. Dont believe me? Drive over and check it out. What would I gain from lying about buying a car on the internet?

Well guys it's finally a done deal, about an hour ago i recieved a call from the dealership, saying they will meet my request for my trade in (03 evo 8 for 05 evo MR) they're giving me 21,000 for my trade and i managed to get them to give me rebates, 0% and another 1,000 of off sticker so a total of 2750 off sticker, which means i'm gonna pick up the mr for around 34,000!!! I'm now gonna spend the rest of the night putting the stock cd player back in and take out the satalitte radio and get ready to let my baby go for my new Rally Red MR!!!!

That makes no sense? I see no benefit for the dealership. They are not in the business of losing money so customers can be happy. If they pay off your trade(assume a used evo) for 28+. Then pay their employees to prep it for sale and sell you a new one for the same price, where is their profit? I don't know, this just doesn't make sense. Then again, what sense does it make for you to make it up?
That is a very well thought out. You should be good with that plan.
