Can anyone quote me on a clutch install???

I just ordered ACT StreetDisc Clutch Kit and 3 bottles of tranny oil. If anyone around the Fairfield County (CT), or even a farther drive for a good price... Please PM me or email me @ KenPakhomov@gmail.com if you can help me out. I am considering doing it myself but would rather have someone with experience on an all wheel drive clutch. Thanks in advance.

Shop or not id be curious...

Tommy Ferraro is in CT, contact him for pricing. He is a Tech at a Ferrari dealer. He knows his stuff. Dunno when he is free. I am supposed to meet up with him not this weekend but next.

Your best bet is to find a good friend who knows what he is doing and give him a case of beer and buy him dinner. That's what I did.

My clutch install - 7 days and counting

I took my car to a place called Mr. Clutch in Albuquerque. Took it there last Thursday. They still have the car and may not have it back to me this Friday (9 days). They quoted me 8 hours of labor plus $50 to resurface the flywheel. Total $580. So for some reason they end up calling the Mitsu dealer who told them that they can't resurface the flywheel. Duh - I told them that I know plentty of people (from this board) who have resurfaced their fw and can get them the specs. They don't wanna do it after talking to mitsu - what a load a cr@p.

Anyway, then they have to wait for the flywheel from the dealer - another $380 for the stock one. I told them I can get it cheaper and better but that since they can get it quick go ahead and do it. Well not so quick now. Am I getting screwed or what? Still don't have my car!

I recently had mine installed by Buschur. They charged $400 but that may be a discount since I bought the clutch kit from them.

I shopped around here in Va and the best price I got was $700...by a transmission shop (hell, the dealership where I bought my Evo from only wanted $650)

I believe if your willing to travel to a Mitsu performance shop (like Buschur) they might give you a better price simply because they do them more frequently than a tranny shop that will do any car (plus they will give you BS about how much more difficult it is simply because it's AWD).
