get a k&n drop in for now if your only mod is a catback, intake might lose power than gain it, unless you want the cool sound.

That just means you didn't REALLY search. This topic is ridiculously worn out...

Good choice; it's a perfect match for your overpriced exhaust. HKS all the way!!

most of the people will say the stock intake is the best, just drop in a aftermarket panel filter (HKS,K&N,WORKS) etc. the aftermarket short ram intake might decrease power because of our engine producing so much heat, unless if you put a cover over the filter (ARC) or something. It will ofcourse cost you a bit, but you get that cool intake sound, turbo spool and BOV. I would suggest leaving your intake stock for now, and try out a panel filter and upgrade something else like headers, turbo outlet, dp etc. These things will give you the power gains that you expect. main point, worry about an aftermarket intake when you are making serious boost and power but then again its your money, your choice. i am just giving you mis dos centados.

i don't think i would ever let go of my stock intake box, unless something same design that's twice as big comes along.

i might replace the intake piping though.

Nothing wrong with me or the HKS RS, except that it costs way more than it provides in terms of HP...just like his HKS exhaust. You're right, it is his money, which is why I said the choice of intake matches his choice of exhaust. HKS is just a name...these parts are nothing special, yet they cost a lot more than other, comparable parts. The HKS filter looks retarded, too...

Well you can find some really good intakes on ebay and cheap too. I found my intake there...then you can compliment your new intake with new IC piping -- check out gruppe-s for their Helix piping
