My car got rear-ended...... AGAIN!

Well, the title says it all.. The car got rearended again, the guy was speeding and managed to clip the rear of my car when I was accelerating from a stop light.. Took out the bumper, quarter, centerpanel, bumper support, possibly kinked the frame rail and trunk panel. (Door gap is off slightly on the passenger side)

I'm using this opportunity to repaint the car, and will be doing a show quality paint job and graphics.. stay tuned to this thread for photos of the damage and work progress.. (IF this is posted in the wrong forum, one of the mods can put it in the right places I guess??)

Wish me luck, obviously the damage and portion of the repaint would be covered under insurance.. the rest.. well, my credit card will take a beating I guess..

Any vendors that can help me out, PM me.. I know at the moment I need a Quarterpanel, bumper skin (Evo 9??), MR Taillights, APR Splitter. I might need a trunk lid (functional Lightweight only, nothing for show it would get painted body color) and a handful of other stuff... I may need to replace my exhaust YET AGAIN!!!! AGGHH!

I'm looking at the bright side of this.. I never want to get rid of this car, and would buy it back if it were totalled.. But it definitely doesn't look bad enough to total it. I just see it as an opportunity to completely finish the car for the show circuit..

Malibu,

Sorry to see this happen, but you are keeping it positive and at least you are allright. Just fix it the way you want it now . Good luck and keep us posted.

Supercharged, i know what you mean. Front of my car is white polka dot'ed. Tarmac in color, then several coats of wax filled in all the chips, then dried white. I thought about trading mine in just to get a different color. Just have done too much to it......

So I'm assuming the person stopped at least. "Oh. I'm sorry. You were moving, and I still hit you."
