Guys, I almost pay 38k for a Evo8 at my local mitsubishi dealer, and I am smart enough to backed out my deal, got my deposit back, and my evo 7 JDM spec, with AYC!!! is on it's way.. I am getting a Evo 7 imo is 100% looks better and I am so excited now... for a little more money, i got the the performace parts upgrade according to evolutionimport, will be 350+hps... thanks god!! no more evo 8 fever for me...

Now your just spending your money on a car that has a questionable future for being street legal. You do know that EI didn't crash test and there are no approved petitions for it being street legal in the US don't you?

 

God damn I dont care about msrp+5 or whatever the dealer is pushing out extended fees. You guys should be damn happy your even getting the damn car. Up here in no wheres land (Canada) we wont see the Evo 8 for another year and by that time its the revision of it. Stupid bumper regulations up here make us wait forever for them damn import cars but thats it I aint going to wait anymore.

Have to run south of the border and get me a new car....

Well might have to think about it due to the exchange rate, it would be like buying a new viper up here If I went down south and picked up a evo.

 

Evo vii does look way more better then evo viii.

According to the folks down at evolutionimport, the car will be street leagl with all the papers, as well as OBDII for the smoke. I should have no problem getting the car register, the price they quote includes the registration. So I don't worry for that. Besides, all the parts are identical to the VIII except ACD and AYC.

 

Before you pay for the Evo7, search the forums here on Evolution Imports. The car "will" be legal because it isnt right now and who knows how long that will take.

Either way, the Evo is a kickass car!
