that was a long time ago that this thread was born. :\

 

Believe it or not i read a couple years ago in a magazine they put it there because of all the traffic congestion and rain they get in japan. Thats what i read so dont flame my ***.

 

I don't have a wiper, and I've never felt a need to have one. I do have a garage, so the morning dew isn't a big deal.

 

I personally love the rear wiper. It's extra weight and all, but it is nice in the rain or snow.

 

eggsactly, one of the things that made me like the evo that much more was the rear wiper. When my car was parked over time I always had to wipe my hand across the rear window to get the snow off. With the evo it's just a flip of a switch. Also it helps a lot when my car is parked in the rain and I have to back out.

 

I've been wondering why a rear wiper myself, people have asked me and I have no straight answer lol but it does function for me well in the morning with the dew and when we have horendous rain can't see 5 ft in front of you....I hate that

 

I really like the rear wiper. To me, the wiper is almost like the headlight adjusters - neither is truly necessary, but both add to the car's flair, to its functionality and to the joy of ownership.

i for one like having the rear wiper, i live in south florida and it rains 90% of the year.

 

That thing is rocket powered too. If I use it while I'm stopped, it lands on my windshield. >_<

 

I love it too. All my cars have one and when I drive a car that doesn't, and it's raining or snowing, I get pissed. It's one of those things you don't realize hoe useful they are until you have one.
