Use your skateboard. Skateboard everywhere you go. Skateboard fast. You get to work quickly. Leave EVO at home and skateboard. Me? I have a 40 mile trip to skateboard to work. I get to work and then it's time to skateboard home. I'm very thin now.

The biggest gas saver is to stay off boost. I've been meaning to try this myself actually.

Just got myselft 1984 Toyota Corolla (ae86 hatchback) Price on gas on this baby is almost 20 cents cheaper, until the price of the gas drop looks like I won't be driving the evo much.

I love when people say "don't boost". As if I can do that! Shift a little earlier in town, i.e. keep your revs down and run it on the tall side of the gearing rather than the short side (if that makes sense). Helps a bit in the city, where my mileage regularly sucks.

Synthetic fluids in the transaxle, transfer case and rear differential. It helps more than you think. and don't come to a full stop at stop signs, just california stop 'em.

i too improved mileage with my cams, though its a differnt car...dont use your ac! extra drag on the motor uses up more power meaning more gas is needed.

draft behind trucks, cuts down on the wind resistance and will help with gas. Down side is you need to follow a big truck.

The gas milage was one of my concerns when i bought my evo. However i try to stay out of boost as often as i can. I live like 5 mins driving distance from my job. So I will be driving my beater in the winter (evo will be garaged most of the time)

Beater= 92 Honda civic HB CX No a/c (sux in the summer) $15-16 for a full tank that last a long time.
