Thats nothing, I took my car about 2 weeks ago for an alignment problem and when it was time to take it home, it had 16 more miles in it and it had 1/4 tank of gas less than when I bring it in (it was full when I left it). And thats not all, they scraped 2 wheels and then they wrote the official papers as if I had taken the car like that to the dealership. Im taking those bastards to court

I said I would pick up the car and bring it back when the correct part came in. Before I left the lot, I noticed the car had 8 extra miles on it. I asked the service advisor about it and he asked the tech. The tech told him he took the car out to "recalibrate" something. I only heard "recalibrate" cuz I was sorta annoyed and couldn't hear the rest of his explanation over the sound of the steam comin outta my ears. Well anyway, is there anything that needs to be "recalibrated" when they repair or replace the guages (oil temp guage in particular)? Or does it sound like the tech took it out for a joyride?

u know that would be so messed up if someone went to a dealership and they didnt have any evo's and all they had was the one that u put in there to get serviced. then they let the customer beat the crap out of your car. that would truly suck.
a little off topic here, but somewhat related. When I went to the dealership to look at an evo and test drive it, I watched the one of the tech guys, I assumed, taking the car I was trading in out for a spin to check it out. I was trading in my 2002 mustang GT. The guy was hammering on the thing. I was standing right outside as he went by. I was a little pissed cuz technically the gt was still mine. I hadn't even gone over the numbers with the salesman.
