leather not only sucks in the hot weather but also in the cold. During the winter up here in MA, i nearly froze my ***** of when i drove my parents mercury mountaineer with the leather package, sometimes I had to put a blanket over the seat so it was tolerable.

I like my SSL package. The sunroof is great for ventilation. Leather actually pretty good. Not particularely hot in the heat. The stereo is good. You'll only be able to hear it when you are standing still anyhow. Total waste to up-grade unless you soundproof the heck out of the car - or listen to the radio with the engine off in a parking lot.

youre coming from a luxury car, so you might miss some of the luxury without the ssl package, mainly the leather seats. i have the ssl package because you get the HIDs leather and sunroof (stereo isnt great). i think the leather seats go a long way in making the car look nicer on the inside. sit in them both if you can and see what youre more comfortable in. either way its an amazing car

The leather is worth it. I didn't buy the SSL package for the stereo I bought because it looks a million times nicer. Especially on a black car. Compare the two.

yeah I have a black SSL. Every single person who has sat in the car loves the seats and people have commented on how nice the interior looks which was a complaint wit the cloth. Remember it's not just the leather seats, it's the trim that makes it actually feel like a 30k car

I do not know the laws in AZ, but here in CA it is ILLEGAL to tint your windshield and tinting the rest of the window more than 25% is also illegal. Assuming that the same applies to AZ, you are driving an ILLEGALLY tinted car simply to get the pleasure of having leather seats!!!

I was under the impression that the seat bolstering is the same for the leather and cloth, the only difference was the outside material used.

You are right the blue center inserts do not match the outside color of cars other than blue. Luckily for me I got an EB Evo and the blue center inserts match to car's color

yeaht hat's about the only way they look good. The red and blue interior makes me wanna puke, but maybe you could rock the maise and blue if you had a winged racing helmet.

I would have considered the cloth if it wasn't the nasty blue. I am not sure what designer thought that one up. I do like the cloth seats in the 20th aniversery GTI.

OMGWTFBBQ, NOOOO!!! NOT ILLEGAL?!!? cuz nobody does anything illegal right? If he has very high percentage tint, who would know the difference if he was pulled over? But for the sake of living in arizona (which is where i am from as well) every little bit helps.
