Illegal as in getting a TICKET when a police officer pulls him over. That is what I meant by illegal. With a tint like that he it is only a matter of time before he gets a ticket. He will get a FIX IT ticket and then he will have to remove the tint at his cost after paying to install it in the first place. So here you have it: He paid at least $500 to get the tint, then he will pay at least $300 to remove the tint, then, IH HE IS LUCKY, he will ONLY get a fix it ticket. Anyone know what is the ticket for an Illegal tint in AZ?

well...reading other people opinion having the ssl or not,its up to you if you want the ssl by all mean spending more money for it and just save another 3k for something else, but for me i bought the ssl because not all of people who have this package because my guess the it cost alot,as for me i looked it the same, but at the same time it adds sporty and luxury, the sounds is not that bad plus im not planning to do change anything in the interior and the sunroof is worth the money by adding more style(as i see it),so is the ssl worth the money i say pretty much yes sir.

Wow, that's a lot of replies and opinions.

My car now is black with black leather interior. It's gets fonkin hot this time of year, but the seat warmers are nice in the winter. I'm not concerned about it feeling luxurious. If I wanted luxury, I'd keep the car I have. I miss having the manual transmission, fun, fast, sporty car.

Based on what I've heard, I'll probably go into this looking for a non-SSL and save some money for a nice tint, upgrade the stereo a bit, and then spice it up, cause stock just won't cut the mustard.

I had a Civic SI and a Contour SVT before this car. I figure I'll get the toy car stuff out of my system before my wife and I have kids or anything. I'm planning to swing by the dealership tomorrow after work, so we'll see what goes down.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Just bought my SSL about a week ago and I'm in SW Florida...not too bad really and the charcoal interior has a bit more class to it than the fabric. I actually like the Infinity system and it's remarkably clear and sounds great. The head unit is just plain ugly and I'm swapping in a top of the line Eclipse head unit. Love the HID's, love the sunroof. It's all personal preference! Even my all-out "racecar" has leather and a sunroof

For me, it will probably come down to price. It sounds like they are giving some great deals. The place I'm going tomorrow has a red one without SSL for a nice price...and that's before negotiations.

Of course, they have a silver MR, just to tempt me.

Thats true its all about personal preference....

overall, I would say "to each his own, buy whatever makes you happy"

i think the SSL EVO's will have better resale value in the long run...

I didn't get SSL package. I am never a big fan of leather(cold in the winter and hot in the summer and slippery) and never uses the sunroof. To me evo's SSL is a waste of money and they degrades performance. Instead of SSL, I would rather spend a little more and get the MR.

I got the SSL and I like it. I think overall it looks a little "classier" if that's the right word.

Then again the cloth isn't bad looking either. Only problem I have (and lots of leather) is it makes that squeaky noise everytime I get in and out, that kind of bugs me. Unless someone knows of a product I could put on that might beable to help that?

I think it's kinda funny all of you guys whine about performance yet many of you can't even drive the car to the limit where a sunroof would hurt you. If you are seriously worried about a sunroof hurting your times get a damned RS

Besides you can always swap in the aluminum roof panel later if it becomes such an issue. I believe Robi used to have a sunroof in his GSR and set several records with it. Correct me if I am wrong though.

I have an '05 WW with the ssl. Why did I get it?

1. Because I like having the HIDS here on Cape Cod (and a lot of new england) where most streets are unlight at night and my night vision sucks.

2. My last car had black leather recaros, and I fell in love with these when I sat in them for the first time. I don't care about if they heat up in the summer..that's what windows and shirts are for. The car will be hibernating in my garage during the winters.

3. The moonroof is nice for ventilation. I rarely use the A/C and prefer just tilting it. I don't care if it adds weight, i've lost nearly 30lbs this year myself.. And as far as helmet clearance goes, i'm 6'1-2" and I clear the roofline with a helmet and the seat tilted straight up.

4. I love the contrast of the white exterior and the black interior.

5. Because my old lady said to "buy the ssl!"
