HAHAHA, yep -- you save now. But just wait until the yearly property tax/registration. SC makes it back and then some

nj1226, damn, you gave me a scare for a minute...I thought I paid too much! Went back over my bill of sale and it was a tad over 34K, not 35K. I didn't qualify for the 0% (due to past credit issues) but I got 4% through my credit union.

So yeah, 6.5% sales tax, plus TTL and interest got me right at 34K OTD.

Lucky you. I just paid mine too, it was appx $400 which is pretty high, but expected. $325 isn't that great either. SC factors in mileage and estimated value, so if your evo is a daily driver it can get really high really quick. But you're right, it goes down every year. (edit: sorry for the highjack, this was my fault)

:EDIT:
I looked at my receipt today for my taxes, and after everything was done I paid closer to $500!! This is a $500 property tax on a 2003 Evolution with 23,000 miles on it. SC bases the value of a vehicle on what a dealer would sell it for. That said, I wouldn't trade my car for (almost) anything
