HUH? You do realize the viper brakes 60-0 in 97 ft as opposed to the evos 110+, and you do realize the viper will pull over 1g on the skidpad versus an evo at around 0.9.
This is both more related to the tires and size, which are HUGE on a Viper. Teh viper really doesn't handle that well, and when you are cornering, once those huge tires lose grip (quite easilly too I might add with just a stab of teh torquey engine) it is GONE, no comming back, fish taled outa there. The Evo is a FAR better handler and when it starts to break traction, still canhandle and come back, the viper cannot.

I guess what I was pointing at was that limit cornering on a stock viper is impressive. To your point, I will agree that they are not nearly as forgiving as the evo. However, in the hands of an experienced driver, the viper is a fast car in the corners. Granted, a lot of this has to do with the huge tires and awesome brakes as you suggest, but regardless of whether or not the car has good suspension and steering kinematics/dynamics or if its just all in the tire/brake package, the car does well in the turns.

This is the Viper, not the truck, although the truck is a 108 Trap but indeed tractionless.

The trap speed is a very good indicator of power, but you can't base an outcome just on trap speeds, especially when trap speeds are very close to one another.

116 Vs. 122 is about 70-80WHP differencegiven the same weight. the Evo and Viper are roughly the same, especially with two in the Evo.

Where did you get 116mph for his trap speed, he hasn't ran his current setup at the track, so 116mph is purely subjective. He happends to own one of the most powerful stock turbo EVOs and I believe he could easily hit over 116mph trap speed. Also lower trap speeds often come with lower 60fts, many quick EVOs trap lower because of their awesome 60fts. A 1.8 or even 1.9 60ft could result in even higher trap speeds. Another thing, 122mph for a stock Viper is pretty high, don't get me wrong, I'm sure that there are some out there that trap that high stock, but most don't. Atleast not the ones I've seen run down the track and read about. Here are some stock SRT-10 times I found for you-

The Viper is an awesome car, but it's not unbeatable. He raced the Viper 4 times and won each time, sorry but that's enough proof for me.

Built evo's kick ***! However, built Viper's OWN. Guy here in Savannah has one w/ very impressive twin turbo set-up 1425hp street legal (except the test pipes). The turbo set-up alone cost more than most built Evos.

Viper brakes from 60 at 97 feet? Where are you getting this info? F430, SLR McLaren, and the Boxster S ties for top honors at 107 according to R&T. Viper comes in at 112, Evo at 114.
