Take everything out as a whole (02/turbo/mani.) and unbolt it outside the car. Just make sure to lube up the nuts/bolts prior to removal. And have extra nuts/bolts when putting everything back together. Don't ask me the size because I don't remember. The hardware that comes w/ the mani./02 is decent, but I would up buying new hardware.

I changed out the mani and left my Koyo radiator in. Now I have a few bent fins. So take my advice is to remove the raidator and fan. It is easy and will give you much more room, expecially when tring to remove the hotside's heat shield. I would leave the turbo inplace just my $00.02

The thing that game me the most problems was the heat shield...its a ***** to get outta there. I ended up cutting the bottom of it so that I could slide it out around the 02 sensor. Other than that....everything was pretty easy....to seperate the hotside from the turbo......after I took off the clamp, which required tapping on either side of it with a hammer and screwdriver, I lightly tapped on the hotside of the turbo with a hammer and it easily came apart.

Do whatever you want but you are asking a question so I will answer you.

Take everything out including the radiator it will make your life much easier.

I have done it over 15 times so I know what i am talking about.

good luck

how hard is taking the radiator out? does it lift from the top or does it have to come out from the bottom? also is there a specific coolant to use to fill it back up with ? just go to the dealership and get it from there or can i get it from pepboys?

if timeis not an issue, just take the radiator out. Its not a big deal. It will be worth the extra time spent. You can do it without taking out the radiator, but just take your time and all will go well...
