Where to dynmat the car to quiet down exhaust

I have to drive family around and they hate my exhaust. I want to know if using some dynamat or fatmat on the trunk would help most of the noise? And where else in the car would help? I never done this before so if anyone can help me out, that would be really nice

Bump. On trips over an hour when I get out of my car my ears are ringing.

Ever think about getting an electronically controlled exhaust bipass valve? Stick your stock exhaust on, have a Y pipe and a valve, when the families in, stock quiet exhaust, when the family is out, pure smog out of the downpipe =p

Dynomat makes a trunk kit. Also adding some padding under the carpet would help too. An upholstery shop could do this for you. I plan on sound deadening the doors, upgrading the carpet, and sound deadening the trunk as well. My exhaust is not too loud but the car could be made quiter without spending $$$$, and your stereo will sound better too!

dynamat:

trunk lid, trunk walls, and trunk bed

also to really quiet things down: do the doors and rear lid.

Isnt the dynamat heavy? If so, would just putting some on the trunk bed be good enough

Take out the carpet in the floor of the car and the trunk and throw some dynomat in their.

MMMmmm I love the smell of Dynomat when just applied.

Just keep the trunk full of random stuff! I was helping a friend move some stuff and I couldn't believe how quiet the inside of my car got. Had full Buschur exhaust.
