defi control link mounting spots?

I am about to install my defi guage and I am trying to decide where I want to install the control link. I don't want to put it in the bottom DIN spot. (don't want too many electronics out in the open..burglers). I was thinking about:
in the glove compartment
under the steering wheel column

Where do you have y'all installed?

I am going to order mine next week and I was thinking the same thing, how about between the seat and the center counsel? Couple people I know have theirs mounted there in other cars, seems to work. Just a thought.

Well, For mine I did a relocation of the radio down to the cubby hole. Then put the control unit right under the radio...modified the cover of course. I'll try and remember to get some pics - but this will hav eto do for now -

Go about halfway down....You can kinda see it, but I don't have the modified radio panel on there yet.

it will stick to that location. You just need to use 3m double sided adhesive. It is the kind of adhesive that comes with xm mounting brackets or you can get it in bulk at home depot. It is the adhesive that is used to hold the letters on the front of your house...

simply clean off both surfaces with an alcohol swab, heat up both surfaces, the dash and the controller and the tape (not to the point the tape is bubbling) and then just hold the controller on the surface wth the tape applied for about 45 seconds....it will hold

I mounted mine on the side of the center console next to the drivers seat. That way it's hidden, but I can still reach it easily while in the car.

I put mine in the glovebox. Drilled a nice 1" hole in the side of it for the wires/loom. It's mounted to the left side of the box itself with velcro tape.

It's kinda hard to see but you get the idea:

I plan to remove a 1" wide "strip"of the backside of the glovebox so the control unit slides down inside the glovebox and becomes flush with the top edge.

That's what I ended up doing as well.
