FMIC upgrades opinions

i wonder is it worth the money to get EVO8 DELUXE FRONT MOUNT I/C UPGRADE or just get this EVO 8 STANDARD INTERCOOLER UPGRADE save $ 100 for something else? to me they look exactly the same.
does anybody know the differences btween them?
thanks,

and have anyone heard anything good about this exhaust?

I say get the Deluxe for $100 more b/c it comes with the lower IC pipe. Also, the Espelir is a nice exhaust.

power difference is in the lower ic pipe and that's it. i have the standard and love it didn't need to trim the tray or anything, fits right in perfectly... and just added an AMS licp and it feels fantastic. i believe david buschur developed his new LICP because through dyno tests, the standard showed less power than the deluxe even though the cores are the same; he concluded that the licp was advantageous... so it's your call man.

also, doesn't the deluxe fmic need the buschur UICP?

no it dosent, you can use the stock upper intercooler piping...

I would definatly get the deluxe, I just installed mine, and you can definatly tell a difference in the power gains. It looks great too

and what are your mods that you'd need a new fmic?

I'm asking because throwing a fmic on for looks can hurt your performance...

the espelir exhaust is a nice exhaust it has a nice tone with a downpipe and a test pipe. However it is really not loud at all with the cat.

i installed the Greddy SpecV FMIC 2 weeks ago. i've watch my boost level (HKS EVC5) and notice no boost drop. Overall my car pull a little harder and the turbo lag is about same as stock.

My mod
Apexi Intake
02 housing
TurboXS DP
Ulitmate racing HFC
Megan Exhaust
HKS EVC5
SAFC II

just add a Lower Ic piping is good enough?
